So have we all been calling the T i version wrong and it's really called TY because he called it a TY or Tie at least 10 times. 🙂

Used to be short for titanium.

He's actually flip flopped the pronunciation multiple times in the past. I almost wonder if it's an ongoing joke within the company or something.

$1199 for a 3080Ti??? LMFAO go home Nvidia you are drunk. Not to forget but that will be more like $2k+ when they all get snapped up by bots. He also said: "The 3070 quickly became our most popular ampere GPU"................ what he also meant to say was. "So we are going to piss them all off and release a 3070Ti just 6 months later..... yay go us.... oh wait and get this.... its so funny, we released an RTX3090 and charged $1.5k for it.... Here is a 3080Ti which basically performs the same just with half the memory".....What are they smokin?

This is such a weird post. They released a 3090 for $1.5K and it's been snapped up by bots, sold out since it came out at far higher prices - so now a 3080Ti for the same performance but half the memory comes in slightly cheaper for $1200 - by your own admission will just get snapped up by bots - and they are drunk for charging that? What? If the bots are selling it for $2k+ then there are enough people willing to pay $2K+ for the card and Nvidia is massively undercutting the card. Now granted most of those people are miners that are buying it, and if the new hashlimiters prevent that it shouldn't be an issue - but then your part about bots grabbing it for $2k should be wrong - but if people are still paying it then either way Nvidia is not drunk. Also isn't 8 months for a Ti model pretty standard for Nvidia's midrange? Didn't the 2070's supers come out in like the same timeframe? Edit: They did, same with 1070Ti.

Why would it piss them off? The 3070 was $499, the Ti is $599.

70+ was always the best in the lineup I'd rather have the 3080 or 3060ti this time

Oh dear..... oh dear oh dear.... and yet people actually try to defend the release schedules, and even the prices. Please go home you are all drunk. [youtube=Vtkk-_0jrPU]

I can't tell if you're being intentionally obtuse or what... Are you admitting you were wrong and these cards won't be sold for $2000+? Or do you think Nvida is "drunk" for maximizing their profit? I think people buying cards for this much money are crazy, but I don't think Nvidia is dumb for selling them at these prices when people are clearly willing to pay even significantly more than this.

Maybe drunk was the wrong phrase, how about money grubbing corporate slime bags? Knowing full well they can produce more of these cards thanks to the cut down memory and silicon and then still charging an obscene amount of money for it knowing full well people (mainly bots) will snap them up. Like Steve from GN said they are deliberately making themselves the middle man. This card was probably originally meant to slot in around the $800-$900 range which would of undercut the 6900XT and be nicely placed in the stack of the somewhat normal market. Nvidia knows the market is volatile at the moment and they are taking full advantage of it and going full corporate on their consumer base. 2-10% more performance than a 3080 for near 100% the price is insane and like Steve said this card would easily be DOA in any other type of market from the current one we have. Takin advantage of the current market situation like this is some of the most anti consumer bs I've seen in recent memory.
